The Phone Call
A recent phone call to my dear friend Rob Joustra.
"Hey Rob. It's Nikki"
"Oh Ms. Gerrits! How wonderful! How ARE you?" Asked Rob in his very excited voice
"Well Rob. . . . I've called you because.... and I really am frustrated with myself. . . . But I've come to some conclusions. Basically Rob. . . I can't believe its come to this, I always said I'd never do it. . . And I make fun of people, I'm a hypocrite, I'm so ashamed. . . . I don't know what to do, but its reached a point in my life when it has become necessary. .. . ." I stumbled over the words.
"Uh oh, Nikki. . . . Is everything ok? Can I do anything?" Asked Rob as he tried to remain calm through my upsetting rant.
"Well Rob," I hesitated, "I actually could use your help. You see. . . Because I am going to Romania, I guess it has come to the point where. . . . I need to start a blog site."
"Oh YIPEE! YAY OH YAY OH YAY!" Exclaimed Rob pansily. (yes I made that word up - but it totally suits Rob and you all know it!) "Oh NIKKI, I"M SO EXCITED. HORAY. This is EXCELLENT news!"
"Yeah yeah yeah, well I know I am a hypocrite and I think blogs are ridiculous, but it really is the best way for me to keep incontact with mass amounts of people while I am gone."
Suffice it to say, Rob has been in his glory helping me set up this site, and he has been a little too overjoyed about my sucumming to the blogging world.
And so blogging world - HERE I AM! -
